Bill Ford’s first passion is helping families. He is the author and developer of C2 Family, an equipping ministry that empowers parents to be intentional with their children, seek God’s vision, and change the culture for generations to come. (click here for more info about C2 Families)
Bill has been tracking down tornadoes and helping with disaster relief for three decades. Growing up in the plains of Kansas instilled the awe of the powerful forces of extreme weather events. After witnessing the aftermath of the 1999 Moore Oklahoma tornado, Bill has been stopping and giving assistance to those affected by storms. He was involved in the recovery from Rita, Katrina, and Sandy hurricanes as well as many tornado aftermaths in Texas and Oklahoma.
Bill believes, “No one should ever die from a tornado.” He helps bring advanced warning to communities by providing ‘ground truth’ to the National Weather Service and other news media. By tracking the storm and live streaming what is actually happening on the ground he provides vital information that saves lives. Bill has also been a part of helping train volunteer fire fighters, county sheriff and community leaders on how to give advanced warning. In addition, helping family’s community organizations and schools take responsibility through awareness and education through their “Know Where To Go” campaign.
Bill has received NIMS certifications (National Incident Management Systems) training for disaster relief and SarTech III, as well as first aid, AED and CPR training along with his family and team.
Bill has 5 children and 5 grandchildren and he and his wife, Danielle love life in the friendly town of Weatherford, Texas. But, he is always ready to mobilize and help warn families of impending extreme weather, no matter where that might be.
